Oakleaf Hydrangea

Oakleaf Hydrangea

Like every gardener I know at this time of the year, if I’m not actually gardening, I’m out in the yard with the micrometer, measuring hourly growth here in Zone 7.

But today (when I’ve done enough writing to have earned it) will be the day for potting up sunflower volunteers, Dora Bielefeld pulmonaria, and the space-invading tall pink phlox. This will bring inventory for the 6th annual Divide & Conquer Plant Sale to about 110 plants (goal: 600+ by May 23).
